Before you start
Is every creator on Klout actually vetted?
Yes. Every creator account is reviewed and approved by our team before it's visible to brands. Signing up doesn't put you straight into search results.
What does my plan actually cover?
How many active campaigns you can run at once. Posting a brief and sending invites never cost anything extra beyond your plan.
Do invites cost anything?
No. You can have up to ten active invites on a brief at any time, at no charge.
How does escrow and the commission work?
When a creator accepts your invite, their listed rate is held in escrow — not when you send the invite. Klout's 10% comes out of that amount, so a R1000 booking holds R1000 and the creator receives R900. Nothing is added on top of what they listed.
What if nobody accepts?
Cancel the brief at no cost — nothing was held until someone accepted. Individual declines don't cost you anything either.
Who holds the money?
TradeSafe, a South African escrow provider. Funds sit outside Klout's operating account until you approve the work.
